After months of speculation, the official (and potentially first of many) collaborations between BTS and “Despicable Me” has been unveiled: each member of the K-pop group are transformed into minions in a new Funko Pop collection that launches this week. The exclusive Funko Pop! Collectible 7-Pack becomes available to pre-order on Friday, June 21 on the Entertainment Earth website.

The collaboration is in celebration of a new character in the upcoming “Despicable Me 4”, Poppy Prescott, who identifies as a member of BTS ARMY. The film, which hits theaters on July 3, continues the popular animated franchise, which follows the reformed supervillain Gru (Steve Carell) trying to do good and finding family while he’s at it. Kristen Wiig, Miranda Cosgrove, Steve Coogan, Chris Renaud, Dana Gaier and Pierre Coffin also return for the fourth installment.

In addition to the limited-edition Funko lineup, the upcoming movie will also be celebrated with a capsule featuring vibrant Minions x BTS mash-up art inspired by BTS’ iconic outfits from their hit single “Permission to Dance”. The capsule is available for pre-order now through July 1 on the Weverse U.S. shop.
Most recently, BTS fans in Seoul, South Korea, celebrated Jin, the oldest member of the group, after he was discharged from his 18 months of mandatory military service. Last week, around 1,000 fans of the pop star were chosen in a raffle to meet him at this year’s annual BTS FESTA for a “three-hour hugging marathon” that served as his first public engagement in months.
Pre-order the Funko Pop! Collectible 7-Pack starting Friday, June 21.
