Biography: Ai Mori is a Japanese rock climber known for her accomplishments in lead climbing and bouldering on the international stage. She has secured victories at the World Cup and medals at the World Championships, making her one of the youngest Japanese athletes to achieve such a feat.
Mori's career in rock climbing began with a win at the Lead Japan Cup when she was just 12 years old in 2016. She continued to show exceptional skill in the following years, consistently taking the national lead championships.

In 2023, Ai Mori's climbing career reached a new pinnacle as she took the lead title at the IFSC Climbing World Championships, a historical achievement as this marked the first instance a Japanese athlete won a world title in this discipline. She also took a third-place finish in the combined event at the championships, which guaranteed her a place at the 2024 Olympics.
